NICE Guideline for diagnosis, treatment and care of Glaucoma
![]() |
On 22nd April the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence published a new guideline entitled Glaucoma: diagnosis and management of chronic open angle glaucoma (COAG) and ocular hypertension (OHT). |
This
guideline is an important step forward in raising the standards of care for
people at risk of vision loss from glaucoma. By providing the means for a
consistent national approach it aims to reduce the variation in current
clinical practice.
The guideline recommendations include diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, organisation of care and provision of information for adult patients with COAG and OHT. NICE publishes several outputs of ‘products’ for a clinical guideline. Clicking here will connect you to the NICE website for more information.
