Viscocanalostomy

Viscocanalostomy is a relatively new procedure, compared to the trabeculectomy. It does not require a bleb but redistributes the fluids internally. The surgeon removes a deep piece of the sclera, part of the trabecular meshwork and the anterior Schlem’s canal. This creates a new internal channel through which the fluid can leave the eye.
